Those eloquent showers stilled my heart

The quiet hums against the window pane calmed my thoughts

I was entranced by natures musical raptures

To stay forever in its capture would have been an honor

When it stopped I would have no more excuses

I’d have to step forth into the world’s ugly truth

Those flooding thoughts scare me

How eloquent the rain

The outside looking in
